Married 33 years to Heather Krause, have 2 Daughters; Renee Gibson and Ashley Sunderland, 3 Granddaughters;Nevaeh, Aubree and Madison 2 Grandsons; Remington and Ryder.


 

City Council Achievements:

  • Assigned to be the Operations liaison 2014
  • Appointed as the Council Rep to the Park Board 2016
  • Initiated public notice on fence variances for transparency and prevent surprised propery owners when neighbors exceed height and or visibility requirements.
  • Helped negotiate savings for health insurance and waste removal contracts
  • Consistently fought for high quality low density development.
  • Insisted on consistently imposing impact and fee in lieu or land for parks at final platting.
  • For the first time, park fees are broken out and reported separately to the Park Board and in the city budget.
  • Initiated additional fees for those requesting after the fact variances or conditional use permits.
  • Improved detail and clarity in reporting from Heath departments.
  • Improved detail and clarity in construction and service request for proposals, proposal evaluations and contracts with increased competition.
  • Recruited and mentored the local contractor who installed Heath’s beautiful new street signs, well within cost and schedule, after the city received multiple no bids for the project.
  • Recruited current and past most talented members of the EDC, P&Z, Special Events and Board of Adjustments.
